What this is

Two people, a few projects at a time.

Timbre AI is a Georgia LLC owned in equal halves by Duncan and Dave Comery. It is early and it is small on purpose. We take on a handful of projects for nonprofits and community organizations — the kind of groups that need this work but have no budget line for it.

The other half of what we do is teaching. Duncan is early in his own path into this field, and Timbre exists partly so that path has real work in it — and room for others to walk it too.

Four areas of focus.

Nonprofit AI projects

Small, finishable projects for nonprofits and community organizations — the intake form that sorts itself, the grant report that stops eating a weekend. We scope them to what a volunteer-run team can actually maintain after we hand it over.

Mentoring & apprenticeship

Working alongside people who are early in this field — students, career changers, anyone teaching themselves. Real projects with real stakes, reviewed line by line, rather than another course to watch.

Practical tools & automation

We build the small internal tools and automations these projects need. They are plain, documented, and owned by the organization we built them for.

Workshops & teaching

Sessions for teams and groups who want to understand what these tools do and where they fall down. We are glad to run these for schools, nonprofits, and community groups.

Duncan Comery · Co-founder

Duncan Comery is the Co-founder of Timbre AI, an AI consulting firm that helps organizations design, adopt, and scale artificial intelligence solutions. He works closely with clients to translate emerging AI capabilities into practical, business-ready strategies. Passionate about the responsible application of AI, Duncan is focused on building Timbre AI into a trusted partner for companies navigating the shift toward intelligent technology.

Duncan leads project work and is the first point of contact for anyone reaching out.

Dave Comery · Co-founder

Dave has spent a career building and operating systems for product, service, and infrastructure organizations. The pattern that pulled him toward this work: new technology, dropped into two similar organizations, would produce wildly different outcomes. At Timbre he advises and teaches — most of his time here goes into mentoring rather than delivery.

A few things you can count on.

We'll point you to the best resource for the job — even when it isn't us. We network all the time.
We work at nonprofit budgets, and we say so plainly when a project is bigger than we are.
Whatever we build, you keep — plainly written and documented well enough to hand to the next person.
We're glad to run workshops and speak when it's genuinely useful.
Someone learning is usually working on it too. That's the point, and we'll always tell you up front.
We stay close from the first conversation through the handoff.

Why "Timbre"

In music, timbre speaks to the quality of a sound — information in a sound's spectrum brings the character that makes two instruments playing the same note each sound unique and valuable.
